Refund Policy

CodeBin — Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: August 14, 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how refunds, cancellations and disputes are handled for digital products purchased through CodeBin.

Because CodeBin primarily provides digital products that may be accessed, downloaded or delivered electronically, special rules apply to digital purchases.

1. Digital Products

Products sold through CodeBin may include:

  • Source code;

  • Software projects;

  • Scripts;

  • Website templates;

  • Application projects;

  • Plugins;

  • Themes;

  • Digital assets;

  • Documentation;

  • Other downloadable digital products.

Due to the nature of digital products, a purchase may become non-refundable after the product has been accessed or downloaded, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where CodeBin determines that a refund is appropriate under this Policy.

2. When a Refund May Be Available

A refund may be considered when:

A. Product Was Not Delivered

If you successfully completed a payment but the purchased product was not delivered or cannot be accessed because of a CodeBin-side technical problem, you should contact support.

CodeBin may investigate the transaction and provide access, replacement delivery or a refund where appropriate.

B. Major Product Defect

If the purchased product has a substantial defect that prevents it from performing the core functionality clearly promised in the product description, you may contact CodeBin within the applicable refund period.

You may be asked to provide:

  • Order information;

  • A description of the problem;

  • Screenshots or recordings;

  • Error messages;

  • Relevant technical details.

CodeBin may attempt to resolve the issue before approving a refund.

C. Duplicate Payment

If you were charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical or payment-processing error, the duplicate transaction may be refunded after verification.

D. Unauthorized Transaction

If you believe a transaction was made without your authorization, contact CodeBin immediately.

We may investigate the transaction and may request information necessary to verify the claim.

3. Refunds Generally Not Available For

Refunds will generally not be provided merely because:

  • You changed your mind;

  • You no longer need the product;

  • You purchased the wrong product;

  • You expected different functionality that was not advertised;

  • You did not review the product description;

  • The product does not match your personal preference;

  • You lack the technical knowledge required to install or use it;

  • Your hosting environment is incompatible;

  • A third-party service changed its API;

  • Your operating system or software environment is unsupported;

  • You downloaded the product and subsequently decided not to use it.

This section is subject to mandatory consumer rights and other protections under applicable law.

4. Refund Request Period

Unless otherwise stated on a specific product page, refund requests should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

CodeBin may specify a particular refund window for individual products, promotions or transactions.

The applicable product-specific terms will be considered where clearly displayed before purchase.

5. Downloaded Products

Downloading a digital product may affect refund eligibility because the product has been delivered and made accessible.

However, this does not prevent refunds where:

  • Required by applicable law;

  • A verified duplicate transaction occurred;

  • CodeBin determines that the product was materially defective;

  • The product was materially misrepresented;

  • Another valid exception under this Policy applies.

6. Fraudulent or Abusive Refund Requests

CodeBin may reject or restrict refund requests involving:

  • False claims;

  • Repeated abusive refund requests;

  • Payment fraud;

  • Chargeback abuse;

  • Unauthorized redistribution of products;

  • Sharing purchased products before requesting a refund;

  • Attempts to obtain products without paying;

  • Manipulation of the refund system.

CodeBin may suspend accounts involved in fraudulent activity.

7. Chargebacks

Before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback, users are encouraged to contact CodeBin support so that the issue can be investigated and resolved.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions where legally permitted.

Nothing in this section limits any rights available under applicable law or applicable payment-provider rules.

8. Seller Refunds

Where CodeBin operates a marketplace in which sellers provide digital products, sellers may have additional obligations regarding refunds and customer support.

CodeBin may require a seller to resolve a verified product issue.

Where necessary, CodeBin may issue or facilitate a refund in accordance with the applicable transaction terms.

9. Refund Method

Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method where technically and legally possible.

Processing time may depend on:

  • Payment provider;

  • Bank;

  • Card issuer;

  • Payment gateway;

  • Transaction method.

CodeBin does not control the processing time of external financial institutions.

10. Product Removal

If a product is removed from CodeBin after purchase because of:

  • Copyright infringement;

  • Fraud;

  • Malware;

  • Illegal content;

  • Serious violation of CodeBin policies;

CodeBin may review affected purchases and determine whether refunds or alternative remedies are appropriate, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the case.

11. Cancellation

Orders may generally not be cancelled after a digital product has been delivered or accessed.

If cancellation is technically possible before delivery or access, CodeBin may consider the request on a case-by-case basis.

12. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact CodeBin support and provide:

  • Your registered email address;

  • Order/transaction ID;

  • Product name;

  • Date of purchase;

  • Reason for the request;

  • Relevant evidence, if applicable.

CodeBin may request additional information before making a decision.

13. Refund Review

Refund requests may be reviewed individually.

CodeBin may consider:

  • Product description;

  • Product files;

  • Download/access records;

  • Technical evidence;

  • Seller information;

  • Payment information;

  • Previous refund activity;

  • Applicable law;

  • Circumstances of the transaction.

14. Changes to This Policy

CodeBin may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time.

The latest version will be published on this page with the applicable "Last Updated" date.
